21 & 22nd- Gathered corn in rain. While today is Thanksgiving in 2018, before 1942 Thanksgiving was the last Thursday of every month.  Since in 1900 and 2018 there are five Thursdays in the month, we are celebrating on the fourth Thursday as Congress resolved in 1941, and the Bench family is celebrating next week.

11th-Howard & I went to S.S. Took Mary back to Chilli. in the evening. Went to Holiness meeting south of RR. Howard rode with us. Leona rode home from Chilli. with us. Drove John’s horse and Buggy. Howard is Frank Manfield’s 15 year-old brother, and Jen’s brother-in-law who lives in Chillicothe.
