17th – John & I took 2 loads apiece of wood to Chilli. I hauled 2 cords & got $16.50 for it. When one runs $16.50 through an inflation calculator, Jesse’s $16.50 has the same buying power as $496.74 in 2018.  Wow!

10th – Gathered corn & went up to Marys. Jesse neglects to mention that it is his brother John’s birthday!  He turned 31 in 1900, and today he turned 149.

9th- Went to S.S. preaching. Then went up to Mary’s. She came over with me & we went to Church in John’s buggy. Got home about 1 o’clock.
