While today is Thanksgiving in 2018, before 1942 Thanksgiving was the last Thursday of every month. Since in 1900 and 2018 there are five Thursdays in the month, we are celebrating on the fourth Thursday as Congress resolved in 1941, and the Bench family is celebrating next week.
