11th – Grace, John, Francis, Nova [Nora] Willet, Edgar Smith & I started to go to the top of Bald Hill to eat our dinner on the top but Grace gave out and she & John had to go back home. But the rest of us went on to the top & had dinner there. Got back home about 5. Started out at 9 in the morning. We could see Mt. Hood from the top of Bald Hill.
Grace and Edgar are Francis Smith’s siblings. Nora Willet is about 16 years old.
