9th – Rained. Ate dinner at home & went up to Mary’s. Got back home about 8:30. The darkest night I ever saw. Got a letter & a recommendation from Prof. Paul Price of Greenville Public School.
Jesse still doesn’t tell us that he needs the letter of recommendation for his travels. This might be the same reason why he met with Professor Pruitt the day before.
