27th-Hauled 75 Bu. of corn.
Monday, November 26, 1900
Mon, 26th- Hauled corn. Picked up 12 Bu. which the Hunley’s boys shucked in the morning. Picked up 16Ω bu. which Mr. Tom Smith shucked on the 55.

25th-Went to SS & BYPU. I was elected Sec. of S.S. Took Mary to Church in evening.

24th-Raining. Pa, Frank & I built fence between the 55 & other fields on the West.

23rd-Finished the yellow corn on 55. Got 207 Bu. Snowed, sleeted & rained.
Thursday, November 22, 1900
21 & 22nd- Gathered corn in rain. While today is Thanksgiving in 2018, before 1942 Thanksgiving was the last Thursday of every month. Since in 1900 and 2018 there are five Thursdays in the month, we are celebrating on the fourth Thursday as Congress resolved in 1941, and the Bench family is celebrating next week.
