17th — Fed & hauled corn since snowed have to use sled now. Also got cold enough to kill a mule.

Dec. 15th — Mary & I went up to her father’s & stayed all day. Mary and Jesse might have spent the day at Joshua’s and Amanda’s house because it was Mary’s birthday a few days before, and perhaps they were invited over for a special dinner to celebrate.

Dec. 2nd — Fed & watered cattle & hauled a load of old corn down for the hogs. After feeding the cattle at Toby Place, Frank & I went to Chilli after cement. There’s that mystery Toby Place again. It’s separate from the Bench property because they are making a trip for it, and then to go to Chillicothe afterwards.…

27 through 31st — Fed cattle. Went to Reading Cirlce held at Mrs. Selplughs. Quite a crowd — about 15 there. Mary & I went to S.S. The Supt. was not there so I took charge. There was quite a few out of S.S. today. There is no November 31st! Jesse does not mention if there was a Thanksgiving dinner…
