6th – I took a load of wood to Harry Young. John & I went to prayer meeting.
Since at least 1870, there is a Young family in the Jackson Township of Livingston County. Andrew Young is from France, and his wife Catherine is from Wurttemberg. Unfortunately, the only Harry Young that can be found in the area during the 1900 federal census is baby Harry who is only 1 year old. He is Andrew’s and Catherine’s grandbaby, son of Jacob Benjamin and Cirelda Jane Young. Either there is a Harry or Henry Young who was missed during the 1900 census, or it’s a middle name or nickname, or Jesse was referring to baby Harry with maybe a little humor.
