Sun. went over to Warners then to S.S. Back to Warners then Cliff Bagley & I rode home. Got there about one o’clock Mon. morning.
Jesse doesn’t mention it, but he’s probably going to Lynn May Warner‘s house to meet before church, then back for supper. Cliff Bagley is Jesse’s neighbor and seems to be courting May Warner unless he’s somehow related to her and these visits all summer have been family visits. The Warner School is where church services and Sunday school take place. They may have heard Jesse’s Cousin Edgar Wells give a sermon. Since Jesse rode over to Dawn on Den the horse, then there was no carriage, and Cliff rode to and from Dawn on his own horse.
