Sunday, August 5, 1900

5th, went to S.S. at the Baptist Church & to preaching at the Methodist Church. Sermon preached by Rev. Foster. Ate dinner at Soph’s, then went to BYPU in the evening.

Reverend Silas Carey Foster was a resident of Blue Mound Township, Livingston County, Missouri, during the 1900 federal census.  He married Carrie Stelplugh in 1899 and had two daughters, Martha Elizabeth and Ruth Laurine.  Sometime after 1902, the family left Livingston County and as so many ministers do, moved to work at a different church every few years.
