Sarah Angeline Bench is James Bench’s half-sister by way of John Bench and Mary Colbert Mills Bench.  She married Robert Alfred Nicks on Christmas Eve, 1884, and they had Scott, Porter, Cora, and Delia.  Something went wrong in the marriage, and Bob Nicks has a marriage record to Ora Valentine in 1907.  Sometime before 1910, Sarah took Scott, Cora, and Delia, and moved to Oregon and called herself a widow in the 1910 federal census.  Scott was listed as a carpenter and both girls are listed as laundresses.  Sarah married John Erb in 1911 and spent the rest of her days in Oregon.
