6th, finished cutting & shocking oats across the tracks. Frank was sick today, therefore Geo. & I had to do the shocking by ourselves. Mrs. DeLapp, Maggie & Mrs. Kaizer (Glory’s mother) were here for dinner today.

Mrs. Kaiser is likely the widow Catherine Kaiser, of Carrollton, Missouri, as recorded in the 1900 federal census and Glory is her 17 year-old daughter who visited in early June.
