Rosa May Bench De Lapp was born on March 2, 1877 to James John Bench and Sarah Elizabeth Reynolds. She is one of Jesse’s older sisters and married to George Augustus De Lapp. In 1900, they and their oldest daughter Hazel were living on the Bench farm.
