24th, put up hay. Frank & I picked up apples till noon then we all topped the stacks over again which the wind blew over last night.

23rd, made hay & picked up load of corn then milked cows.

22nd, made hay in afternoon. Frank & I went to prayer meeting in evening.  

21st, put up hay. We all got wet in evening.

20th, put up hay. Frank & I raked. I quit at 4:00 & gathered a load of corn on the new ground of Wes Duncans. 19th, Cliff & I went out to Aunt Lizzie Wells. Saw Mary. We went to Church at Warner’s Schoolhouse. Edd preached the sermon, James 4:17. Got home Sun. night at 12:30. 18th, Frank, Walter Hunley, & I cut sprouts east of Mr. Bennett’s & put up hay in evening.  

17th, made hay. Old Charley & Jno Jewell pitched. Frank & I went to prayer meeting at Bro. Wombles. Sister Falconer led the meeting.   We still haven’t figured out who Old Charley is. Sister Falconer is hard to pin down.  There are no nearby Falconers listed in the 1900 federal census, barring misspellings.  There are only three Falconer graves…

16th, Jno, Geo., Frank, John Jewell, Walter Hunley, & I put up hay on Minteer Place. The Minteer Place is owned by widow Sarah Minteer, 73, and her son, Matthew Minteer, 33.

15th, Pa, Frank, & I plowed on 70. Pa plowed with the Flying Dutchman. I plowed with Old Nell & Pete. Frank & I went to prayer meeting in evening. Bro. White led the meeting. Nova Zembia White heads the White family.  They last appeared on June 30th at a fish dinner.
