Green Cooper, b. 1826

In 1888, James Bench bought Green Cooper’s land along with other parcels.  Cooper’s house was right next to the Grand River and one of the C.B.&Q. Railroad’s Hannibal and Joseph line bridges.  He and his family appear in the 1850, 1880, and 1900 federal censuses in Livingston County, Missouri.  In the 1900 federal census, Green Cooper is listed as a retired farmer living with his wife and three of his adult sons at 714 Cherry Street in Chillicothe, Missouri.
